Fantasy is a genre associated with magic, medieval settings, and mythical creatures. It’s great for telling awesome stories with action and drama heightened beyond what you would find anywhere else. And while much of the most well-known fantasy takes place in a version of medieval Europe, Blood of the Earth takes place in an alternate version of medieval Africa.
The continent of Shonghania is one of diverse nations and ecosystems from the rugged coasts and tropical woodlands of the Forest Kingdoms in the west across the Shira desert to the mountains and savannahs of the Meroan Empire in the east. It is populated by the four great peoples—the Yama of the Forest Kingdoms, the Kalensai, the Guuna and the citizens of the Meroan Empire.
Shonghania is a place of action and adventure, and Blood of the Earth is one of its stories.
